300 - A Conversation about Mental Wellness and Self-Care During this Season
We round out our election season conversations with an episode dedicated to our mental wellness. In this episode of Ashley Bryant-Wenz and Angela Gonzalez join Sarah Connatser on the Be the Bridge Podcast for a heartfelt discussion about mental wellness and self-care, particularly in the context of the emotional aftermath of the recent election. They explore the importance of acknowledging grief, the necessity of self-care practices, and the value of creating safe spaces of compassion and empathy. They address the topics of being political and being partisan. You will be encouraged to prioritize your mental health, set boundaries, and remember that you are worthy of care.
Ashley Bryant-Wenz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Clinical Supervisor who is Trauma Therapy Certified and DBT trained based in Orlando, Florida. Angela Gonzalez is the Founder and Executive Director of The Nurture Place, a nonprofit organization serving the West Orange County community in Central Florida with mental wellness, mental health, and family support services.
