It Takes a Village | Jack Jones
Jack Jones is Program Director at The Banksia Project, a free men’s mental health service built on training up every day blokes to help the men in their local communities.
Jack’s come a long way in a short time...In his early twenties, he was in crisis, suffering from clinical depression that drove him to be suicidal.
Growing up he relied on his sporting prowess for the validation and associated his identity with being that person who was always there to help others - the problem was he didn’t know how to look after himself.
Through years of work Jack’s shifted his perception of what true success is and what a man should be.
He’s changed from someone who hated being left alone with his thoughts to someone who’s at peace with who he is - on a mission to put others in touch with their own personal power.
