Episode 805: Man accused of murdering Tristan Sherry wants to use 'provocation' as legal defence

Murder accused Michael Andrecut has asked the Special Criminal Court if he can argue provocation as a partial defence to the charge against him relating to the death of steakhouse gunman Tristan Sherry.


Sherry was killed after he assassinated Jason Hennessy Snr at a Blanchardstown restaurant on Christmas Eve last year.


Andrecut who is 23 is one of a group of young men before the court accused of overpowering and killing the gunman immediately after the shooting.
