010 Self Love and Punk Parenting with Raewyn Sangari
Hello and welcome to the tenth episode of Couragemakers! We’re officially in double digits!
I’m so happy this week to share my conversation with Raewyn Sangari. Raewyn is the founder of Be a Warrior Queen, a movement empowering women to embrace self-love which began in 2006 among Raewyn’s group of friends.
During this episode, we really dive into Raewyn’s own self love journey, the motivation behind starting the Warrior Queen Movement and how alternative parenting (punk parenting) has made a difference to her life. Raewyn shares her struggles with anxiety and has great advice for anyone who wants to start their own self love journey.
This is a great episode if you struggle with self care, choosing yourself and dealing with other people’s expectations and also their reactions when you choose yourself.
Raewyn is really flying the flag for subverting gender stereotypes, empowering women, and creating a space for women to learn to love themselves and I think you’re going to love this episode!
Enjoy the show!

About Meg Kissack & That Hummingbird Life
I'm Meg and I'm the host of Couragemakers and founder of That Hummingbird Life. I started this podcast because I wanted to create a platform for passionate and unconventional women to have honest conversations and to share their stories, struggles and dreams. The intention behind this podcast is to inspire and encourage creative and mission-driven women to live a wholehearted life and follow the beat of their drum.
When I'm not recording episodes and making new friends with the wonderful guests, you can find me working on all manners of magic over at That Hummingbird Life, sending free self care checks ins to hundreds of women every Sunday and helping my clients build brands they love as a graphic designer. I'm currently based in London, and getting ready for my round the world adventure with Mr. Meg starting August 2016. Don't worry the podcast isn't going anywhere!
