008 Moving Beyond Comfort with Anabel Roque Rodríguez
Hello and welcome to the eighth episode of Couragemakers!
This week I had the joy of speaking with Anabel Roque Rodríguez. Anabel is a curator and art historian, and in this episode we really dive into the idea of everyday courage, how we all need to have our stories validated and how we can move beyond fear.
During our conversation Anabel shares her journey to becoming a freelance curator and art historian, The Comfort Zone list - a snail mail project she started with her friend to move beyond fear, how storytelling has to be a two way process and how Anabel has started to trust herself and honour her decisions, past and present.
This is a fantastic episode if you’re interested in the process of storytelling, and if you struggle with putting yourself out there for the world to see. Anabel has great advice for anyone who wants to make themselves more visible, and also some practical tips for anyone who wants to work on owning their story.
Anabel has such a unique and fascinating approach and experience of empowering people and we go to so many interesting places during our conversation. This episode made the hair on the back of my neck stand up on end, and I think you’re going to love Anabel!
